TV speakers as center channel for 5.1 stereo?

I have a Samung 4061f television and will soon have a new 5.1 AV receiver (not a Samsung). Is it possible to use the television speakers as the center channel for the 5.1 stereo mode?

Not without modifying the set.

So yes, it is possible but I fear most folk don't want to modify the wiring.
