Inside the set and it's non user serviceable. Get estimates.
If you were a TV tech you find the service manual and follow that as you do other sets.
The usual owner will get repair estimates. Do not pay for estimates since the estimates here run 100 plus dollars and that's a good portion of what a new 40 to 50 inch set sells for.
So I woke up this morning and turned on my 3 year old tv, and the logo came up on screen (screen can still display something), but afterwards when it would normally go to whatever the hdmi source was, it made an abrupt blip sound and the screen turned off. The television appears to still be on (the on light is lit), however, it also appears to be unresponsive, as I cannot hear anything from a game console or cable plugged into it, and I cannot switch the source either. The only thing I can do is turn it off, and when I do after about 5 seconds it promptly turns itself back on (again it displays the Emerson logo, goes to the hdmi source for half a second and then makes a blip sound and the screen turns off) for unknown reasons. The tv has also always turned itself on when it has just been plugged in, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it because it is not as if the tv is losing power... it is still on, the screen turns off and it is unresponsive but the light is still on.
I have tired different outlets and different devices. Device or no device the same thing happens.
I tried calling customer service and they didn't help.
Any advice would be appreciated
