It appears that in this case the products do not work together as you wish and can't be configured to do what you want. There is no open source code to correct this so what's wrong with turning off Anynet?
When the Home Theater is on and that I turn on the TV, the Home Theater is powered off.
Inb4 (Then turn on the TV first!) : I have a DVR with a remote that controls the TV and the Home Theater. When I click on the Power On button of the remote, the DVR, the TV and the Home Theater power on. About 15 seconds after being powered on, the Home Theater powers off (Showing the standard "Good bye" in the front "screen"). I then power it on again, and it will stay on.
I have no idea what is happening. I am looking for terms to google. English is not my first langage.
The rest of the message is the relevant infos (?) about my setup.
I have a Samsung TV and a Samsung Home Theater that were bought together some years ago.
- TV : Samsung LN46A550P3F (link)
- Home Theater with DVD : Samsung HT-TWZ312 (link)
Samsung.com doesn't offer pages in English for these produts.
I had the Home Theater and used it with a CRT TV, and my brother gave me the TV recently.
The CEC term for Samsung is Anynet. When I go to the menu on the TV, it has two submenus :
- Anynet+ : On ( I want to use it)
- Auto shut down : Off (The Hoem theater is powered off by the DVR remote)
I shut fown the TV speakers.
The connections are :
- DVR to TV with HDMI
- Home Theater to TV with HDMI
- TV to Home Theater with Optical
- Wii to TV with Yellow-Red-White cable
