TV picture too large for screen

by lizontheriver / January 30, 2009 12:21 PM PST

Hi I have a Panasonic flat screen TV and recently there was a change in the picture. It's like it is receiving a picture that is too big for the screen. A couple of inches are being cut off the top and bottom and possibly the sides. I can tell with the top and bottom because of missing parts of captions and logos. Is there any way to resize the picture?

Aspect ratio

Many TV's Panasonic included have a button that will change the "aspect ratio". On most Panasonics I believe it cycles through - normal, just, and zoom 1 and 2. You likely have the TV set to one of the zoom modes. With the variety of HD and non HD programming I often set these TV's to "Just".

Having same problem with size of broadcast picture being cut off. It doesn't do this for ALL broadcasts so I'm thinking it has something to do with the broadcaster or channel. Been going nuts trying to fix this problem and like @sirroundsound, I also use the "just" setting on tv remote.
