1. Not user serviceable. Lethal voltages, etc. YOUR MOVE.
2. The slap tells me it's a connection. And no, I don't find exact matches because this is all volunteer. You can search more if you like but here's a connection example. Watch what this good tech does about it.
So I got this HD TV for a few years now doing a great job, though the past few months this annoying issue occurs. Sometimes its doing this for one day, then it stays away for a few weeks but keeps coming back.
I tried to search on the internet but couldn't find this exact problem. It always starts with a few green-horizontal-flickering lines. 1 pixel high and 1 inch or more wide. Could be anywhere on the screen. Now, either thats it and it stops after a minute or, on occasion, more and more of these 'lines' pop up until the whole screen is filled and everything becomes green/pink/white.
Somehow the old (slapping on your tv trick) always resolves this, I do this gently ofcourse..
So I'm thinking it could be a loose connection?
I also noticed that this issue is less likely to occure when the background is (almost) black.
I can't find anything similar to this issue, I hope someone could help me.
