Question

TV-headphones-muting-speakers

Aug 3, 2016 12:42PM PDT

I have a Westinghouse 40" 1080P LED HDTV Model # DWM40F3G1. Do I use the onscreen menu to turn on/off muting under setup/other settings/audio only as I wish to have both speakers & headphones on at the same time.

The majority of HDTVs permit one or the other and not both Sad.

Varies with the model.

There are very good reasons to mute one over the other. And a few sets do what you ask.

And yet again some sets allow you to change the setting. Your TV's manual eluded me so I'd ask the maker if this is supported.
