Head over to a dedicated satellite forum and perhaps somone can walk you through the basic of re-routing your coax. There's nothing for less than $100 which would provide the streaming solution you seem to be indirectly asking about. Wired is normally the preferable solution quality wise anyway.
Where does the sat line enter the house? You might see where the initial split is. Maybe it would be easier to find another spot to re-direct the second line from your living room instead of thinking about it as basement back upstairs. Try here too:
So i've got this problem, i have dish satellite TV in my house. and i have 2 TV's set up. One in my living room with hd, and one in the basement without hd. The Basement line has not been used in months because no one goes into my basement anymore, i moved my computer and a tv into my room, the problem is, i cant seem to get the coax cord from the basment to my room. I could call dish and ask them to move the line to my room, but that costs 100 dollars. Im trying to figure out a way i could either wire the coax to my room or find some other alternatave option to stream that tv. Its a waste of money to have it down there where no one is using it.
