TV Firmware Update Question.

Oct 27, 2010 12:08AM PDT

LE40B652 bought earlier this year and I'm very pleased with it.

Looking on the Samsung web site I see there's a firmware update, well two actually.

3001.1 dated 29-09-10
3000.2 dated 05-10-10

I've upgraded to the September one successfully which told me version 3001 had been installed.

I'm reluctant to install 3000.2 as it appears to be an earlier version.

Also what was the advantages of the upgrades?

Any advice appreciated.

Mike

TV Firmware Update Question.

norskyorkie,

Unfortunately, I don't have any information regarding firmware releases in regions outside of the U.S.

You might try calling the Samsung customer service center in your region to see if they can assist in offering more relevant information on what the updates concern.

"Upgrades"

These versions cripple the back-door for 3rd-party upgrades and stop you from rolling back to a previous version. I have not seen comments about any other changes from those who have "upgraded".
