The backlighting is part of the LCD so while it could be replaced the cost of the panel and labor is BER (beyond economical repair.)
Remember I take your word a service call was performed and the tech was from Samsung or a reputable repair shop.
I have a Samsung model#UN55F6300FXZA that doesn't turn on. the red light at the bottom only flashes, a tech told me it was the LED light or strip but that it cannot be replace its that true?
