TV coverage of the Health Care Summit

Feb 25, 2010 2:54AM PST

I don't know how many of you are watching, even off and on rather than continuously, the Summit on television, but originally it was supposed to be on CSPAN. Well, I have DirecTV and get CSPAN1 and CSPAN2, but it was moved to CSPAN3 at the last minute because supposedly CSPAN 1 or 2 already had commitments to cover House and Senate discussions/votes.

How many people even KNOW there is a CSPAN3 available? I sure didn't and evidently you would have to subscribe to a larger pkg in order to get it from your service even tho I already have the second highest service DirecTV offers.

In any event, I have been able to watch the entire coverage so far on my good old FOXNEWS channel. Are any of the mainstream media channels covering it live throughout the entire event?

I didn't see the entire thing but only what was presented by Katie and her gang. I do think party politics has many shameful moments. I don't think it helps Obama's cause by certain references to 'the Republicans' in a way that makes them sound like a barrier to the process. One needs to not show any disrespect for opposing positions on such a collective basis. It can be insulting. He seems to turn from being a diplomat to becoming a subtle combatant at times. Perhaps that's to be expected.
