i have a rooftop antenna right now which gives pretty good reception for local channels except FOX, also have a dish but FOX isn't part of the programming! had to watch the superbowl without sound and poor quality pic. the antenna i asked about clips on to the dish and picks up local channels (wondered how powerful it was as that FOX signal must not be as strong as the major network affiliate stations). i'm in a rural part of maine so i need something strong.

this site has an interactive feature that lets you plug in you address/zip code and will direct you to how far your analog and digital broadcast towers/sources are and which directions to point an antenna to. Lastly, you'll get some idea on what kind of antenna to get.

Using that function, I found that I wasn't too far from broadcast towers/sources and getting by with an indoor uhf for OTA digital signals.

Good luck.
