tuxcall application

Apr 25, 2005 11:40AM PDT

Dell 800 mhz
Windows Me dual boot Suse 9.1

I have recently installed Suse 9.1 along with Firefox and Thunderbird all working fine.

I am now trying to install Tuxcall-call waiting detector.
I need this because I am on a single phone line dial-up modem.

I can download it to different directory and open the install directions. After that I have not been able to go any further with the given directions.

"The simpliest way to compile this package is:"
'cd' to the directory containing the package source code and type *./configure to configure the package for your system.
"type 'make' to compile the package"
"type ' make install' to install the program and any data files"

I have tried doing this in root and or shell and always get "cannot find file or directory error"

The program is from sourceforge.net and the initial folder is a zgripped tar and is labeled tuxcall-0.5.tar.gz.

Download via firefox to disk the open with show gunzip the arch platform is independent and the type is source.gz

Have extracted with no changes to the number of files

Any help will be appreciated
Ray
