tuvuneca.dll

Oct 9, 2008 11:10AM PDT

I don't know what this .dll file belongs to, but everytime I log on to my account on the computer, i get an error saying, "Error loading C:\users\...\Appdata\Local\Temp\tuvUNecA.dll. It does not come up when I log on to the other accounts on this computer. The specified module could not be found." It appears that it was part of a virus, because I had gotten a few viruses, and most of them removed, but I thought that this was part of the Virtumonde Virus, but no antivirus program recognized it.

If You've Done A Search For the File On The Computer..
Oct 9, 2008 12:03PM PDT

....and the file is already gone, then the error is the result of a registry entry that remains and it's attempting to "call" the file..At this point, you need to check the registry for that entry and remove it.. The easiest way is to search the registry using the " tuvuneca.dll" file name.. Any entries that come up are not required entries and can be removed..

Just guessing here, but two good locations to check are at the registry paths below:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

If you aren't sure all malware is gone and you haven't used the free tools below, please do so..Download, install, update, then run full system scans with both tools.

Malwarebytes Antimalware

SUPERAntispyware Removal Tool

Hope this helps.

That seems to have fixed the problem. I wish I could've found that two weeks ago. Thanks.
