Some Apple computers are equipped with all that you need to do that. So that's free? Right?
If you have a PC, no one could tell from your post.

I don't mean to be mean, but that's like saying you have a bag of flour, so now how do you cook? It would be very helpful to know if you are using a PC or Mac. Even with that info, we need to know how your computer is setup. Unless you have a fairly new Mac, your camera won't just plug into a computer and allow you to start magically making DVDs. Although the process isn't hugely complicated, it does require you to have a computer setup to import video and have the proper software to edit the video, and additional software and hardware to burn DVDs. If all this sounds confusing, I would suggest getting your hands on a book about the subject (specific to your brand of computer). This will help guide you through the basics. Besides a book, I would also suggest browsing through some of the discussion boards on the web that are dedicated to home video making. You won't understand everything at the beginning, but eventually you will understand the basics.
