Question

Turning a Kindle document into hard copy

Mar 29, 2016 3:33PM PDT

When I'm writing an essay I find it easier when creating a draft if I can cut and paste information onto the page I'm creating instead of placing a book by the side of the computer and reading a sentence and then typing it onto my crib notes. I know that such things as EBooks exist but have no idea if one can buy book copies in that format. I know that one can buy a kindle version of a book and I think that one reads it from a Tablet. Is it possible to download the content of a Kindle based book onto a computer? I may have totally misunderstood the technical basis of E Books and Kindle but I hope I've got the general idea across.

I don't have a Kindle but would assume that it uses a CD to load the book. Could that CD be loaded into a computer?
