Turn off Sleep Mode

I have turned sleep mode off in power settings and turned off requirement for password yet after no activity within a very short space of time I am required to log back in. How do I disable these functions for good ??

I changed that and need to tap return for the opening screen. Is it that last push return you want gone?

Unfortunately hitting the return key before opening does not help.

It is very frustrating when after a very short time of no keyboard activity I have to log in again

I press return a few seconds AFTER opening the lid. It's very hard to press return when the lid/display is closed!

login using your Microsoft account or a local account. The MS account is needed to sync and download from the playstore. It sounds like you have a local account with no password.

Here it is under Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings

Maybe it's set differently than you expected.
