Turn of Theme

Oct 16, 2006 9:02AM PDT

Some time ago, perhaps 2 or 3 months you had a class on speeding up your computer. In that, one of the suggestions was to turn off THEMES. I have forgotten where to go to turn off THEMES.

Help in turning off THEMES on my computer would be appreciated. My PC has Windows XP Home with S2.

Thanks

Here's how...
Oct 16, 2006 9:34AM PDT

Go Start->Run, type in services.msc, and click OK. In the next window right-click Themes and select properties. You can then stop the service from running and select 'manual' or 'disabled' from the drop-down menu to prevent it from launching the next time you start your computer.

Hope this helps,
John
