It sounds like the digitizer, connection to or other part was disturbed or broken. You have nothing to lose here. Find your instructions on how to remove, replace the screen, digitizer and go over that/those connections.
I have changed the battery in my Tungsten E2 but after charging and reset the touch screen will not respond. When I turn it on the screen will appear telling me to enter password. I can select owner,hint,clear and ok with the select button but unable to get the touch screen to respond. Does this mean I just wasted money on a new battery? The unit is well out of warranty.
