DOS 6.22 is over at www.bootdisk.com
If this was in Windows 95 then DOS 6.22 should be OK or even a Windows 98 boot disk from same place.
To get your files out, I would put them on CDR with thesd free tools -> http://www.freeweb.hu/doscdroast/index.html
Bob
I am trying to retreave some old data on a 3.5 disk (yes, I still have some of those). The disk was created using Win 95. When I put it in my maching (which has Vista Home Premium), all Vista will do is ask me if I want to format the disk. It does not recognize what I have. I not only tried Windows Explorer, I also tried looking at the disk using DOS commands (yes, I remember how to do that). No joy there either.
The files are Word files, so I tried to open it with Word 2003. It said the disk was either not formatted or formatted for Mac (neither of which are true).
Please help me retreave some of my post-graduate work! Thanks!!!
