This is par for such things. It's why I use monitors when I don't want to fiddle.

I have recently upgraded my Graphics card from an AMD HD4850 (x2 DVI) to a Nvidia GTX 750 Ti (DVI/ HDMI/Dport)
With my old AMD card I had a DVI to HDMI cable connecting it to my HDTV, initially I had problems with the picture quality (blurry and low res looking), however with overscan and a bit of tinkering in Catalyst I managed to achieve a full 1080 resolution with clear text and correct colours.
The problem now, is that my current graphics card has 1 DVI output (which is in use) and 1 HDMI output which i would like to use with my HDTV.. however I have encountered the same problems I had before..
The picture is terrible. I have tried everything and am at my wits end.
The HDTV is a Hitachi 24H8L03UD.
I have also tried connecting my pc to the tv with the same DVI to HDMI cable that worked in my old setup, but that didnt clear things up
I'm sure it must be possible to get a clear picture as I managed it before. I just dont know where to start with the new Nvidia card
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers!

Ok I'm nolonger using catalyst as my new card is Nvidia.. however I have tried the 50hz you suggested.. still no fix.
I have also checked the manual and my HDTV does support 60hz @ 1080
Also worth mentioning, in my tvs input menu.. the only one that says PC is via the VGA port (and i cannot change this). so i also tried hooking my pc up via a DVI -VGA cable .. and same problem.
Im started to regret buying an Nvidia card now.
