So for a past few months or so I've had to deal with constant internet issues in the house I'm living in, and given I keep getting a "we'll get to it later" response I figured I would try and take some initiative.
The main concern is that randomly, usually every 10-15 minutes the internet will completely cut out, pages will always fail to load with a "Server not found" message, and any processes that require a connection will fail. The thing is most of the time when this phenomena happens there is no change in the internet connection status, speed and strength all remain unchanged, yet *rarely* it will say "limited connection"
This happens on every device in the house, computers, tablets and phones.
I have tried resetting the router, but I don't know where else to go.
We did have an issue a couple years ago with I believe the same router, it would totally cut out the internet (which would display on devices) whenever the phone was in use, kind of like the age old days of dial-up, but that issue has since been resolved, and there is no correlation between the phones and now (I tested it myself multiple times), but I figured anything might help.
Our provider is Telus, and the Router is a D-Link model: DVA-G3810BN/TL, which IIRC we've had for ~3 years.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? Is it the router, our provider? Or something else? And what can I do about it?
Any help would be appreciated.
