And FN-F4 didn't do much here. I had to use the Windows display properties to enable my second display. I will not be able to give any exact steps as this area is all over the map but be sure your cable works with your DVD/BD player on that port then your laptop works with that cable on other HDMI displays.
Hi there - have a Samsung laptop (17.3" Intel i7 3610QM Laptop (NP550P7C-T02CA)) and a generic HDMI cable. Trying to hook the laptop up to my Samsung LCD TV - Series 4 450 (model LN32C450E1D) but with no luck. The laptop does not recognise the TV and vice versa - nothing happens when plugging in the cord, even after reboots. Pressing Fn-F4 on the laptop (display options) does not appear to do anything, I only have one option (LCD). I was told my online tech support to obtain a Samsung HDMI cable - but this seems like ******** to me as most HDMI cables do the job just fine.
Help? I am on Win7.
