trying to choose btwn 2 used dv camcorders

Sony DCR-PC100 and Canon Elura 50. I don't have any experience with video recording - just editing. I'm looking for the camera which will give me the best picture and sound without having to know much. I expect I'll learn more as I go on, but I want the video I shoot on this project to look as decent as I can afford.

And how used are they?? How much would a new one cost? John
