Question

Trunk Port & Access Port Communication

Apr 9, 2018 4:26PM PDT

Dears;

Assume that there is a server - client networking structure.
There are ten clients and a server which all connected to switch.
Clients are in remote areas and each of them with different locations.
Server is connected to one port of the switch, Server side only works with access port. so switch's port dedicated to Server is in access mode
all the clients gathering on local router from remote areas, every client has vlan tagging services to local router,
one port of the router goes to switch trunk port,
I would like my server to talk Client ends. but Server works only access port and Clients connected to switch's trunk port.
However server and clients have the same ip segments. 192.168.70.0 /27
how to overcome this issue ? (access port - Trunk port communiction)
Regards.

Use TCP IPV6.

Your example is very dated.

Then back to Cisco.

Cisco has engineers to create a solution to the above. Be aware your top post looks like a homework assignment in some outdated network classes. Today you talk about IPV6 to solve this issue.
