Answer
I've said all along that he

In reply to: Trump.....colaborator?

was a moderate who would make deals with both parties.....IF the Republicans WANTED something else, they've had time to do it rather than vacation for a month knowing they only had 11 days to actually WORK at their JOBS this month.

All in all, this wasn't such a bad deal....it gets immediate funds to Harvey relief efforts and ONLY keeps the government open for three months. So get on to the REST of the IMMEDIATE business in front of all of you. DACA has six MONTHS to be worked on, so set IT aside for now and stop acting like children who got nailed for not doing their homework for 8 years, and work on the PRIORITY list.

Unlike JP, I actually CAN beech about my party preference when they tick me off........I've yet to see him complain about liberal Dems. Will you?

So NOW you have something

In reply to: I've said all along that he

So NOW you have something NOT uncomplimentary to say about DEMS?

RE:I've said all along that he was a moderate who would make deals with both parties

YOU believe TheRUMP would make deals with a group YOU have no faith whatsoever in?

YOUR words...from not that long ago...maybe 2-3 days...Read 'em and twist and turn....

I have faith in Trump....far less in the Republicans he has to work with in Congress because so many of them are 'not Trumpers' so they might as well be Democrats at this point regarding 'resistance'.....and no faith whatsoever in the Dems.

YOU TRUST a person that would make a deal with a group that you have no faith whatsoever in?

Blind Faith?

Rock on, TONI H....ROCK ON!!!

Collapse -
I still have no faith in Dems

In reply to: So NOW you have something

especially Schumer........he got what he wanted which was to raise the debt limit.....any time Dems are saying that are 'compromising' it's in order to get more money they think they can spend.

any time TheRUMP is saying HE IS 'compromising' it's in order to get more money HE thinks HE can spend.

Blind Faith when it comes to TheRUMP....Blind Rage when it comes to the Dems?

And you're stuck in the middle...

TheRUMP made a deal with the devil....The devil ONLY you know?

President TONI H?

RE:it's in order to get more money they think they can spend

You think it's all about the money?

Pelosi urged Trump tweet on DACA, says president willing to sign Dream Act

President Trump indicated that he was willing to sign the long-stalled Dream Act into law if it passes Congress, House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi said Thursday, another sign that Trump may be uneasy about his decision to phase out DACA.

Pelosi said she encouraged the president in a morning phone call to assure young immigrants that they are not in immediate danger of deportation.

Trump tweeted a message to the so-called Dreamers shortly after his conversation with Pelosi, saying they were in "no danger" during the six months he has given Congress to find a solution to the program.

How do ya' like them apples?

TheRUMP is more flexible than you?

Pelosi is a shark

In reply to: RE:it's in order to get more money they think they can spend

Even SHE knows it's not 'unease'......it's REAL compassion for these young ADULTS....and MUCH MORE than HER party EVER had under BO.

So, you don't want to talk about

TheRUMP siding with Pelosi AND the Dems?

You "talked about it" when YOU said?

Unlike JP, I actually CAN beech about my party preference when they tick me of

AND this

All in all, this wasn't such a bad deal.

THEN YOU say

I still have no faith in Dems

YOUR "party preference" doesn't include TheRUMP?...HE who cannot "tick you off"?

Making a deal with a group you have NO trust in...doesn't "tick you off"?

The friend of MY enemy is MY enemy?

The friend of YOUR enemy is still YOUR friend?

What other deals are TheRUMP and the Dems cooking up?

Deals that you will refer to, as "not such a bad deal"?

I don't expect much more

In reply to: RE:I posted my first reply in this thread......

from any of the Dems, so obviously I have NO faith in them....they ONLY dealt because there was something in it for them.

Also, obviously, no one knows what other deals might be being cooked up....I'll comment when any rear their heads.

Re:they ONLY dealt because

In reply to: I don't expect much more

they ONLY dealt because there was something in it for them.

Unlike YOUR idol...he makes deals when there is nothing/very little in it for HIM/the American taxpayer.

The author of "The art of the deal" gets taken to the cleaners?
Collapse -
So you believe that

In reply to: Re:they ONLY dealt because

he got 'taken' by the Dems? And that it's a bad deal.....even though the Harvey victims got what they NEED? And you figure that the taxpayers got 'nothing/very little? And why would Trump himself figure into it since you emphasized HIS name or do you think he SHOULD have gotten something on a personal level?

Trying to figure out your logic in this......

RE:And why would Trump himself figure into it

How YOUR IDOL is in bed with YOUR enemy?

RE:And that it's a bad deal.

I didn't say one way or the other what kind of "deal" I thought it was...YOU said "it's not such a bad deal". I just repeated your words.

Exactly what do YOU think TheRUMP "gained" by the "not such a bad deal"?

He ruffled some Rep feathers? BUT not your feathers?....I wonder why. you're "flexible"?

YOU claim Dems make deals ONLY for a specific reason......Don't YOU think it's fairly logical that TheRUMP could/would/might make deals ONLY for a specific reason?

Pot...Kettle you know how it goes....Or YOU should know how it goes....

Party pref

In reply to: I've said all along that he

I don't have a party pref.
That's why I can sit back and watch the dysfunctional bunch, dems or repubs, run the country and not get excited about it.
I don't pass events through a filter to form an opinion.
Can you say the same?

Collapse -
Even YOU can't say that, Bob

In reply to: Party pref

considering your immediate kneejerk reaction is to post negatively about Trump each time you've posted.

I post what I see

In reply to: Even YOU can't say that, Bob

It's not based on a dem or repub filter.
If Clinton was the prez I'd be posting the same thing.
I did not like either of them during the last election.

Sleeps quite well while "totally disgusted"?

with only 11 days to get anything done in the entire month of September after they all left for the whole month of August (and they did that even KNOWING that Sept. was a very short work month for them),

I'm totally disgusted today watching all the Republican weasels on the screen....

TheRUMP is tweeting at 5:30am Eastern Time..."totally disgusted" OR "sleeping quite well"?

Yes, I sleep quite well

In reply to: RE:I'm guessing Toni sleeps quite well.

with Trump at the helm.....only 'never Trumpers' and the Dems have the ability to keep me awake because the phoniness ticks me off with their spiels.

Do you really want to know why the liberal Dems are covering up or taking down all those Confederate represented statues? Because they are a constant reminder to them that THEIR party were the guilty slave owners,,,,,,,,,,including their attitudes even up to today. They are trying to erase their OWN history but attempting to make it look less sinister. They totally accepted the LIAR's mentor in the Senate for years until his death....and he was a former head of the KKK.

RE:only 'never Trumpers' and the Dems have the ability

only 'never Trumpers' and the Dems have the ability to keep me awake

So you're being kept awake, because "never Trumpettes" and Dems DO exist.

They exist therefore YOU toss and turn.

I don't care that they exist

Make sure Obama is a one term prez.

Nothing has changed with McConnell.....

In reply to: As I recall

It's pretty obvious that he has the same goal for Trump...I didn't agree with him then to publicly state it anymore than I agree with him now as he publicly DOESN'T say it. It's one thing to NOT have control over the Senate and openly state your dislike....it's another to HAVE control and openly go against your own constituents and party without the WORDS being said.

Collapse -
RE:I didn't agree with him then

In reply to: Nothing has changed with McConnell.....

Well, IF he(TheRUMP) had the gonads...HE would have started his OWN party/movement...Like Bernie....

So YOU should have voted for Bernie....He's got more of what you admire than TheRUMP.

Collapse -
I'd agree that both Bernie and Trump

In reply to: RE:I didn't agree with him then

should not have run as members the two major parties. Both were party crashers but, for Hillary, the fix was already in. She had an overwhelming majority of the "superdelegates" leaving Bernie with an uphill battle even had he won popular vote in the primaries. Oddly enough, Hillary led former president Obama in the superdelegate category but still lost. Trump, on the other hand, had very little early support from the Republican party. That party had to reluctantly accept him into the fold after he won.

What I can observe from this past election is that both the Republican and Democrat parties were rejected. Sanders and Trump had, by far, the most enthusiasm among their supporters. For Hillary and the other Republican candidates, the voters seemed a bit bored.

I'd say that Trump did, in some respects, start his own party.

Confused

In reply to: Nothing has changed with McConnell.....

How is Mitch against Trump or his party?
Only one thing came up for a vote and it failed.

Collapse -
From the start of Trump running

In reply to: Confused

McConnell repeatedly came out against Trump......plenty of sarcastic negative statements made publicly, and his reluctance to lead the party in a positive manner in the Senate has been obvious. He, along with McCain (who cast the final defeating vote for repeal) have been 'never Trumpers' from the start. The whole point of having a leader in both Houses is to make sure the members are in agreement and not going rogue on critical votes out of personal feelings....they are voted in by their constituents to vote on their behalf and when you have your entire voting block supporting a bill up for a vote and you still vote against it, you are proving your personal feelings rather than theirs. McConnell has done that quietly on a number of occasions on other bills....there's just not much publicity about it because even without his vote, the bills have passed with enough votes from other Republicans.
