Got my new Sony 50" Microdisplay, Widescreen/HDTV, etc. - question I have is why, when watching DVD's is my Saving Private Ryan the only DVD that truly fills up the entire screen..friends and family over the years purchased widescreen DVD's for me as they knew I would eventually be "trading up"..but these, from "We were Soldiers" to "Spiderman 2" to "Lord of the Rings" to "Star Wars" series all still have a tiny black band at the top and bottom, although not as pronounced as using my old Sony 32" WEGA...I did see that Saving Private Ryan says it displays is 1.85:1 Theatrical Aspect ratio, and the others are 16:9 or 2.4 (Anamorphic)? does this have something to do with it? Are the black bands just something I have to live with no matter what? Thanks for your help!
