Trucks

I am Sales Manager and i am on the road constantly. My reply to this poll was indeed bad drivers but the one thing that really disturbs me on the road is the bad ''truck'' drivers. These guys typically are never observing the speed limit and they are consistently putting their own timing issues i.e timely delivery, scheduled pickups etc ahead of the safety of the rest of us. Now believe me i do see a lot of bad drivers out there and as noted in the post by Mauiboy i believe, these are for the most part people without the common sense to keep any kind of situational awareness in use while driving or are just too selfish or stupid to slow down or be courteous.
But it is the truck drivers in my mind that are one of the biggest threats to road safety. Working for a distributor who relies on timely deliveries i understand that it is the fault of the changing business enviroment that forces some drivers to adopt this behaviour, however the onus must fall on the police to enforce the law even more diligently on those who are driving the equivalent of 8 cars in one. Not all truck drivers are bad ones, however the bad ones pose a greater threat than any 90 year old lady driving too slow on the highway.
