Troubleshooting

My computer keeps saying "selected boot image did not authenticate. Press enter to continue" but when you push enter it just shuts off. When you turn it back on it just pops up with the same thing. How do I get it to let me back on?

I hadn't done anything. I had it open to my Google drive and my download file but I hadn't actually done anything with it.

The day before, ...
You shut the computer off yesterday right ?
You started up the computer today and this just happened ?
Are you sure you didn't visit some shady site yesterday?

If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.

Does your computer have an OS?

It's very difficult to help somebody when they don't tell what kind of computer, whether it's running Apple, Microsoft, Linux or what. For Windows there are repair discs, but we don't know if you're running Windows and if so, which version. It's like asking why won't my car start without any more info.
