Resolved Question

Troubleshooting

So I just built my new intel pc and I connect my Ethernet cable and all I get is an “unidentified network” I’ve looked up many guides and tutorials and none of them seem to work. I’ve used multiple Ethernet cables in multiple ports. Any help would be appreciatedHappy

Just a few months back a client encountered a similar issue and it was their motherboard mounting. They had shorted out the area of the network controller. Another person found a bum Ethernet port on their new board.

So let's hear if you went ahead and built it without a case for testing and tried another network card.

So what would you recommend doing to fix the motherboard? Replace it?

Very few fix motherboards today.

I take it you completed the testing and it's the motherboard. Most folk will RMA their non-working new board. Others will install a network card as these are found widely for about 10 bucks.
