Though I lack in experiance/knowlage of throughly awnsering your question, Im 99% sure that the cheap, easy, safe, and prefered awnser lies with you asking your ISP if they have a web page or web site address of a personalized web page that is free with your service with them. Most of them do not openly advertize that one is provided with your service unless you ask. (what a crock) In short... ask your isp if 1 is readily avaible for you to use! Good Luck!
Recently I received a free cheapie Logitech 310 camera which works fine on Webcamnow but will not work on Yahoo. I have Windows ME with Zone Alarm for a firewall, and I manually freed the specific TCP spots as Webcamnow instructed (no problem) but when I cleared those that Yahoo said to free- still no go. Is there a trick here or does my firewall or my cable modem provider's security simply prevent using Yahoo's web services? Secondly, I cannot for the life of me find any totally free websites other than Webcamnow or Yahoo through which to send broadcasts. Can this be? If I configured a website, how does the webcam work through it? Where is the cheapest place to get a website if that is the best idea? I would like to be able to use my webcam regularly, but at the least possible expense. Finally, is the open port routine for the webcam dangerous for my PC vis a vis hacking? Are there any optimal set-ups of a webcam I should know about? Thank you SO much for your help!
