Trouble with using web cam with Panasonic PV-GS 500

May 12, 2006 8:45AM PDT

I recently bought a Panasonic PV-GS 500. I installed the USB driver (that came with the camera) on my laptop (Windows XP). I followed the instructions for setting up the web cam (in fact downloaded MSN Messenger 3.5). I wanted to set up a web cam (Made sure the peer node also has MSN Messenger 7.5 on Windows XP).

However, when I want to use webcam, I see a black screen on my laptop (an on the other computer as well). The screen on the MSN says that is connected.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to click any other button to actually start sending the video to the computer? The manual doesn't say anything.

I would really appreciate if anyone could help.

Thanks.
