Trouble with Dell Lattitude D600

When I close my D600 to put it in standby and leave it for a while, the monitor appears to stop working. i will open it up and the screen will be black. Can anyone help me out please?

To tell a lot more. For instance, did it ever work and if you have an OS with a System Restore feature.

Also, if you EVER accept a driver from Microsoft, you get to find out why I write to never do that.

Notebook bios or driver updates may solve 'wakeup' issues

Some notebooks have had trouble 'waking' back up from a standby or hybernation mode.

In many cases a notebook bios update or driver updates posted at the manufacturer website has solved these issues (they had a bios update at hp/compaq at hp.com that solved an issue like this about 8 months ago for my Compaq X1000/HPZT3000 series.

If you have not checked for all these updates look at your website for your specific model first. If you think you are up to date try calling your warranty service and discussing the issue ......

For hp.com at least you download the updates free to your desktop as a file --then you execute the update file from your desktop.
