trouble with Audio out on Samsung UA40B6000 TV

Hello

I have just bought some Sennheiser wireless headphones RS110 with transmitter etc. They're working perfectly when I hook the transmitter to my stereo amp. So there's no problem with the speakers or transmitter.

However, when I connect the transmitter to my Samsung UA40B6000 via the AUDIO OUT (R-AUDIO-L) with RCA audio cables (having selected External Speaker) through the menu, it does not work.

To test this independently of the wireless headphones system, I also connected the TV via the AUDIO OUT (R-AUDIO-L) with RCA audio cables (having selected External Speaker) to my stereo amp. Again, no sound.

I would be exceptionally grateful if any one can help me solve this.

I think the only audio output on this model is the optical connector. The manual shows the RCA sockets as inputs. You will need to operate through a receiver.
