Trouble playing MP3 from laptop to FM ITrip

Dec 14, 2007 10:24PM PST

I get great results connecting a SanDisk MP3 player to the ITrip FM device but if I use my laptop headphone output to feed the ITrip I get terrible static noise and bad connection. Should I be able to do this direct from the laptop? TED

Let me ask a second time.

SO, no one who read this question has ever tried to play their music on their laptop through a FM modulator/transmitter and into their car radio? I was just asking if this is normally doable with good success or if I had a problem. Again the MP# player sounds great playing into the FM modulatior so it isn't a modulator issue. The laptop is an IBM thinkpad. Thanks Ted

Well, all the music and podcasts that I have on my laptop is on my iPod so I have no need to hook up my laptop. Maybe ask around in the laptops forum?

Just bought the ITrip this week and tried it on the laptop and am getting the same heavy static buzz. Unfortunately I have no solution, but if you find a solution, I would love to hear about it!!
