Trouble Installing Counterspy On Vista

by mateon3000 / March 2, 2009 6:46 AM PST

Hi Guys,

Im posting here because I know the moderators and staff here have alot of experience. I also cannot find a counterspy antispyware forum around. Hopefully someone can help me.

The problem Im having is on a Vista system. Im trying to install the newest counterspy for a client but the installer fails to launch. Has anyone seen this before? Im new to Vista and already dreading dealing with this OS. There really isnt much on the screen that I can notice cause when I double click to install, it flickers quickly and disappears.

Any help would be much appreciated. If theres anything I can provide please let me know...

Thanks,

Mateo

Hi Marianna,

Thanks for the fast reply. Unfortunately, that post relates to counterspy already being installed and not being able to run.

Im at the point where I cannot even install the application for the first time. I double click on the .exe and it quickly flashes and disappears.

Strange I know. Any other tips?

Thanks,

Mateo

Hi Marianna,

lol, not alone indeed. The problems they are having are with script errors. Might be the same problem but not sure.

I noticed on the links they have support contacts. Im gonna email them and hopefully figure the problem out.

I'll post back here for other forum readers if they run into same problem.

Thanks for your help and pointing me in the right direction.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
