Trouble connecting to monitor

I've recently had a new hard drive and I'm now struggling to connect my PC to my monitor. I've tried with a HDMI connection, a VGA connection and even both. But no luck. My PC is an Asus G11CD and my monitor is an AOC monitor. Any help would be appreciated.

I assume you can connect the hardware, but don't see anything on it.
And I assume it's an internal drive, not an external one.

- Does that new hard drive replace the old one, or is it additional?
- What is on that new hard drive?
- A monitor is not connected to a hard drive, but to a graphic card or motherboard. Tell more about those and what you connected the monitor to.
- Does the monitor show an error message if you boot without any hard drive connected to the motherboard?
- Does the key to enter the BIOS setup work?
- Can you boot from any bootable disc or USB stick (like Windows Setup, or Linux, or memtest86, and do those show anything on the screen?

The new hard drive completely replaced the old, broken one.

The new hard drive is brand new, just windows 10 installed.

I'm unsure of the names of the motherboard or graphics card unfortunately.

The monitor only shows No Signal as if not connected to the PC at all.

I did have access to the BIOS setup at one time in the past but no longer have access.

I assume the monitor worked while installing Windows. And now, when Windows is fully installed, it suddenly doesn't. That's strange, because - to install all necessary drivers, such as the motherboard drivers (and the video card drivers, if you have a separate video card) - it should show you the screen.

https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10 tells how to boot in Safe Mode from your Windows 10 install disc or stick. Use that to install all drivers from the site of the maker of the motherboard. If no luck reinstall again, and please note when exactly the screen disappears.

The people who fitted my new hard drive also installed Windows 10 for me so I'm assuming they had no trouble connecting to their monitor. Possibly a problem with mine then? Either way I'll have a look at the link and see what I can do. Thank you!

Couldn't get into safe mode as my monitor still just says no signal unfortunately. Maybe a case of purchasing a new monitor

Typically a case of going back to the people who installed Windows 10 and ask them what's wrong with your PC or what you do wrong. Take your monitor and monitor cables with you.
Very unlikely you need a new monitor.

Is it a monitor, or TV used as a monitor?

If a TV, you need to set it properly to the input used.
