Trouble connecting samsung smart tv to d-link repeater! help

by JaKaL90 / February 17, 2014 4:57 AM PST

I am trying to connect my samsung to my dlink repeater. the smart tv recognizes the D-Link wireless network, but will not connect to it. The only error it says is "Wireless connection has failed."

The smart tv sees the dlink wireless network, and it has full signal strength. It just wont connect. My isp is att uverse. My router is a motorola ngv510. The wireless network i am trying to connect to is the dlink. The dlink model is a DAP-1320 wireless range extender.

Here's an example issue by another maker. Samsung codes to the spec and is not as forgiving as a Windows PC.

The other issue is UVERSE. Tales by the thousands where we change to another DNS server (many use to work around ATT's gaffes.

To change WEP WPA and WPA2 we have to change the router too. No one wrote it should work. Samsung TVs as you know are following the rules to the t. Be sure your other WiFi laptop or such works before you try the TV.

Isn't a powerline bridge less trouble?
