Trouble accessing Yahoo mail account with PDA

by alaskawild1 / November 11, 2006 3:05 PM PST

Just got a HP Ipaq 2700 a few days ago and have run into a glitch. When I try to sign into my Yahoo mail account with my PDA using a WI-FI connection from Internet Explorer a page downloads that is completely blank. The web page takes my username and password but thats when it downloads the blank page. Worked a few days ago but no luck now. Anyone have any ideas? Running Windows 5.0 mobile.

We'll have to wait for Yahoo to redo.

I'll try my PalmOne TX tomorrow. I have my rx3115 so I should try that too.

For on the PalmOne TX did login and after I looked at the right folder my web mail is there.

On my rx3115, I went to logged in and then clicked on mail, then went to my inbox. It worked too.

Here, with my accounts and how I accessed such, it all worked. I don't try betas such as their pda email.

No problems with my Dell Axim X30 running WM2003SE. I use Yahoo! Mail Beta, which told me my browser and device were not supported, but offered to revert back (temporarily) to the current version of Yahoo! Mail, which worked flawlessly.

The first thing I would do is try another browser. Minimo is an early beta version of Firefox for the PDA (it's buggy but free) while Opera and Netfront are both solid and offer free trials.

In reply to: Same...

I've also got an iPAQ 2700 and also see a blank page at Yahoo mail (as well as some other sites).

Must be an issue with the version of IE shipped with its Windows Mobile 5.0

Just got around to checking back on the post. Tried to follow-up with HP help desk. Total waste of time! The funny think is that I was able to access yahoo mail when I first got the unit one time but it has never worked on their site since then. Anyone else have any ideas?

Yahoo mail problems with windows mobile 5.0
by gillie_68 / December 4, 2006 6:10 AM PST

Same problem with my yahoo email going blank after logging into yahoo.
Using Cingular 8525 windows mobile 5.0. Called cingular tech support they blamed it on Yahoo. Sending and receiving email works flawlessly with the included outlook software once set up. Cannot however get email using browser, my yahoo, email etc. and cannot change the FROM address to use alternate email. Otherwise I love the Cingular 8525 and software.

FYI...for anyone who had this problem as of 1/1/07.

It appears Yahoo email fixed this problem.
I was previously unable to access my yahoo email using windows mobile 5.o and internet explorer and yahoo email.
