Trojan Horse Virus help!

by jilians / September 9, 2007 4:49 AM PDT

A couple days ago I tried to download something off of Limewire. and I guess instead I got the Trojan Horse. I found out that I had more than 4 different kinds of the Trojan Horse and stupid me didn't write them down so I can find them. AVG said it couldn't heal it but it sent it to the virus fault. From there I deleted them but nothing happened. I had this little bar type thing with a border around it and I guess it would mess up my writing on the internet (luckly I deleted it.) I can't really do much about it because the virus messed up my computer and all I can see is my desktop background and thats its. It went away for a while but then it messed up again. I have to use the Windows task manager to get on the internet and such. I hope this is enough information please help!

What OS, computer make/model? Is the computer acting up?

Run AVG again to see if the Trojans are actually removed. If not, I would think the names of these Trojans would again be displayed. Then you could post the names of these Trojans.

Also, download, install, update and run AVG Anti-Spyware Free Edition. If it finds the Trojans, delete them and any other malware it finds.

Then delete all System Restore points so the Trojans don't get restored. Right click on My Computer > left click on Properties > System Restore tab > place a checkmark beside "Turn off System restore on all drives." > click Apply > OK > remove the checkmark and press Apply > OK.

Hope this is Helpful.

Charlie
