The RealPlayer SP 1.1.5 from the Download.com page here?

If so, it is 571KB, (just checking we have the same file).
I downloaded it, no interruption from my ZoneAlarm anti-virus, and did a manual scan with ZA AV anyway and it came up clean.
I then uploaded the file to Jotti's Virusscan web site which scans the file against a range of different anti-virus scanners, and none of those found any malware. The results page is here;

So, where does this leave us? I suspect that your Avira Premium anti-virus scanner has reported a "False Positive". This happens on occasion with all anti-virus scanners where they scan a file and consider it has a virus, but it doesn't. Often this happens after an update to the AV's virus definitions.
If you report this to Avira, they will test it themselves and if it is a false detection, will provide a further definitions update.
I hope that helps. I will, in any case, pass this on to the Download.com team, so they can test the file themselves to be doubly sure.
I'm not sure what you mean by Avira taking you to a a screen denying access to the Download.com page. Have you tried since then?

Hi, I love your download site. I've used it extensively with no problems, until today. I needed to re download Real Player SP. When I clicked on the d/load button it took me to the download page and after a few seconds instead of the d/load window opening, avira premium window popped up informing me I had a virus called TR/Drop Agent 58736 Trojan that it was blocking. I tried the sequence 3 different times with the same results. I then downloaded "Miro" with no problems. Almost forgot, after avira blocked the trojan it took me to an avira screen denying me access to cnet's download page.
Hope this helps. rgrrogue
