Question

Tried using fingerprint as lock...now Samsung 6S won't open.

Mar 24, 2016 9:07PM PDT

I tried the fingerprint unlocking feature on my Samsung S6. Now the phone says it doesn't recognize my fingerprint. I didn't see the 'back up password' option.

Called Samsung customer help...and was told all they could do was wipe the phone clean...and I could start again. When I said that was a bad option they said to go to 'findmymobile.samsung.com.' Did that...and clicked on 'unlock my phone'. It didn't work.

I have some text messages I desperately need to keep...regarding a landlord/tenant dispute. I cannot use the phone for anything. I have tried to unlock it using my Google account...but that too isn't working. My only contact with anyone is by email using my tablet!

I'm praying someone has an idea for me!

Thanks
Kathie

Answer
Since it must be recovered

The exit I know of is to buy another S6 and have a shop with a CELLEBRITE clone the phone. Some can unlock these with the CELLEBRITE but as it stands if there is no backup password, there's little I've seen done except cloning, unlocking with the CELLEBIRTE and resets.

Thank you R. Proffitt.

I will go to the place I bought this phone and see if they have access to the CELLEBRITE. Hopefully they will be able to help.

Thank you so very much.
