I tried to update Windows Explorer lately...and now my computer won't start up...meaning, I can turn it on, then it will load windows, then it takes me to my network password option and when I click on "ok" there, it goes to a black screen with the cursor as an hourglass and then just sits for hours and hours til I physically turn off the computer and start the process again.
Upon restarting, it will check the drive for errors as I turned it off improperly, and all seems to be fine, but I can't get it past the black screen previously described.
Also, when booting, it says it is protected by Go Back, and to hit space bar to fix errors and such, which I tried to revert it back to a time when the computer actually worked, but it said it didn't have any times to go back to.
I just tried it again, and it actually gave me revert times but only revert times that were back to the start of my problems. Which I chose the earliest date it would give me. NOW -- it is giving me a kernel error " MMTASK caused an invalid page fault in module kernel32.dll at 018F:BFF8E64B " and when I click close, it gives me a Windows error: 0E : 018F : BFF8E64B
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
