Trial Version Games

Jun 2, 2005 7:26AM PDT

Hi everyone,

For the last 2 days I have been searching for a solution but can't find one.

Everytime I download a trial version game I cannot get to try it out.

Error message: Dr Watson was unable to attach to the process. It is possible that Process exited before Dr. Watson could attach it. Error Code: 805306296

I have no idea where to even start to correct this.

thank you in advance for all your help.
Anna

If I found it...

" * Windows 98/2000/Me/XP
* 450MHz Processor
* 64 Mb RAM"

I can't be sure I found the exact game, but they were very light on details. Some required DirectX and the video drivers to be current. But they were not forthcoming.

I also tried another game download (after disabling dr watson) and as posted in reply to papa echo got two new error messages.

I think I have more than 450 mhz and 64 mb ram.

Give up ? Before you do,
Jun 2, 2005 2:11PM PDT

take a look at the event viewer for information at the time of the installation of the games for other clues.

Also, test your DirectX - Start>Run and type ''dxdiag'' (without quotes). Then OK.

just a couple of thoughts

from your profile:
Total Physical Memory- 256.00 MB
Available Physical Memory-93.12 MB

you may have programs running at start up that you don't need?
e.g....
SPYBOT V1.3
AD-WARE SE PERSONAL
SPYWARE BLASTER
REG CLEANNER V4.3
CCleaner
CWShredder
RegScrubXP
as far as i know, none of these need to be run at start up

Page File Space - 753.57 MB
as far as i know, this is set to cover ''normal'' usage, it's 'possible' that the games exceed so called ''normal'' usage (although i hope someone else can correct me Happy)

btw, i hear that the snorkeling in aus/hawai is great, but i did my 2 star 100ft PADI in the red sea....blew my mind Happy

I've tweaked, and cleaned, and tweaked, and more tweaked this system LOL.

so thank you very much everyone I really appreciate it, this site is just the best, love it.

red sea ? wow Jonah amazing should post your photos and stuff on a webpage (just a thought)...

Now to go and research for a great computer...
