The conduit is not open source so we can't fix it. PalmOne unfortunately sold off their OS arm(s?) and as such can't fix issues like this anymore.
I'm just a lowly Palm application programmer so I agree it's a return to maker issue.
I am having an odd problem with my Palm Treo 650 with the calendar function whenever I synch it with my MS Outlook calendar - any help would be appreciated with this problem:
The problem that I have is that whenever I enter in an appointment in my Treo 650/Palm calendar that is scheduled as a "No Time" appointment (the kind of appointments that just sits at the top of the day that you schedule them in), this appointment shows up in Outlook (after I have done a synch with my Treo/Palm and Outlook) as a group type event.
By "group type event", I mean that its an appointment that:
-Has a symbol beside the title of the appointment of a couple of peoples' heads to represent that its a group type of appointment
-When the appointment is double-clicked on to open up, you can see that the "Invite attendees" option has already been selected, which in turn has created a "To" section to the appointment where you are supposed to enter e-mail addresses to invite people to the event.
-Finally, because the "Invite attendees" option has been selected, the time colour code for the appointment (which can be either busy, free or tentative and which should by default be "free" for a "no time" event) is automatically set to "tentative" (since this is a group type appointment and there are supposed to be invitees to the event who may or may not accept the invitation). The tentative time colour code goes through the whole day to hold the whole day since the event is a "no time" event.
So basically, no time events entered in my Treo/palm show up in Outlook after synching as the above-described "group events" (i.e. with the invite attendees button selected).
Events that I schedule in Treo/palm that are not "no time" events (e.g. specific time events or all day events) also occaasionally have this problem, but with 'no time' events, this happens 100% of the time.
Note that this error is very odd since in the Treo/palm calendar, there isn't even an option (like there is in Outlook) to select an "invite attendees" option.
Palm support hit a dead end on this and simply told me that they do cannot find a solution and respect my decision to return the Treo if I don't find a solution on my own.
Thanks for any information that anyone can give to help me out
