Treo 600 or Treo 650

Nov 29, 2004 4:59PM PST

I'm a student on a budget who is growing bored of his Samsung SPH-A600. I'm looking to upgrade to a new phone while remaining on the same carrier, Sprint PCS. From the research I've done, the Treo seems to be the best phone Sprint has to offer, having both the Blazer Web Browser and an SD/MMC (SD I/O) slot.

My only choice to make now, is rather to choose the Treo 600, which I can get for $300, or the Treo 650, which is available to me for between $550 and $600. At least for me, 250-300 dollars is quite an extreme differnece in price, so I really have to ask, is the high resolution screen, higher quality camera, and integrated bluetooth really worth the additional expense?

Also, on the Treo 600, could a Bluetooth SD expansion card be used the same way as the integrated bluetooth on the 650? (For example, could a bluetooth earpiece be used with the Bluetooth card?)

Googling 'Treo 600 Bluetooth' has brought up many results on rather or not I can use bluetooth

The result:
You can NOT use bluetooth OR wifi cards in the Treo 600 or anyother Palm 5 device

"You can NOT use bluetooth OR wifi cards in the Treo 600 or anyother Palm 5 device"

I'm unsure if all Palm 5 devices are at issue, but certainly the 600/650.
