Trend Micro 2006 Internet Security Suite Install Problem

I recently purchased an update for TM Internet Security Suite 2005 to the 2006 version. However, when I try to install it I receive the following message:

"A fatal Windows error occurred. Setup detected a problem with your operating system. Please restart your computer, and then try again."

My operating system is Windows XP Professional with all critacle updates installed from Microsoft. I sent a log file to TM but so far no solution.

I reinstalled the 2005 version without a problem.

Any ideas? Thanks!
