Resolved Question

Translate Videos on Youtube to English

Apr 27, 2014 6:07AM PDT

I have the Translate feature on my Google toolbar, but it only does the words on the page and not the language spoken in the video. I checked the closed caption but only has Portuguese, cannot select English.
Is there a safe download that would allow me to view and hear the video in English? I have an HP Pavilion Win 7 OS.
Thanks

Not yet.

Automatic voice translators are still decades away. I think that some are out now but the reliability is not good enough to deliver what you are seeing in any Star Trek episode.

Speech to Text

Yes, from what I'm seeing, the translations make no sense, so if you are following a pattern it is pretty confusing, more like work association, but not the correct words. There was an ad for a download, something called Buddy translation, but didn't know if that was reliable or not.
I appreciate your input.
Thanks

Thanks again,
That's pretty disturbing, especially considering the ad showed up when the video was being played on You tube. Thanks for the warning!
