Jan 25, 2011 8:33PM PST

I am repeatedly getting this message on the screen. I have the option to select Yes or No.
Please explain what this is and is it a threat?

I have Windows Vista PC.

Thanks.......Peter

Hard to say

Hard to say since you give so few details. I'll go out on a bit of a limb and assume that this is the message you'll get when you go to/away from a secure site. If so, then it's not a threat, it's an informational message saying you're going to a secure site or leaving a secure site. If that's not it, you're going to need to give us a bit more than a 9 word description.

You are getting the message ...

but unfortunately we can't stand over your shoulder and read what it says -- YOU are going to have to type it out for us so we too know what it says.

Jimmy mentioned one type of security alert message and another is the common -
"The current web page is trying to open a site in your trusted
sites list. Do you want to allow this?

Current site: http://whateversite.com
Trusted site: http://someother site you trust.com

YES NO

Warning: allowing this can expose your computer to security risks. If
you don't trust the cirrent Web page choose No.
"

That is pretty clear and either you trust the two sites or you don't trust the current site.

Now, you contribute what your actual message actually says.
