I can confirm that the optical output on my B650 set carries audio from all sources, including Media Play.
I want to transfer sound from my LCD TV to my amplifier
TV: Samsung LCD TV 40" (LE40C635XXE)
The TV dont has RCA out jacks, but it has digital optical uot jack. My amplifier has only RCA in jacks. Som Im gonna order a DAC (Digital Analoug Converter). But as a temporary solution, Ill try some other alternatives.
I can use the jack for headphones. But then I has to remove it each time I need sound from the TV speakers.
I also tried a SCART-cabel to RCA contacts adapter. That solution didnt transferred the sound from the TV, when I was using the DLNA(MP3 files from PC). But it transferred sound from the broadcasting.
So my question is: When using the digital optical out jack with a DAC, would then every sound from the TV, including sound from DLNA, DVD player, decoder, broadcasting, f.ex., be transferred to my amplifier?
