First, let me ask

if these transfers are completely legal. If these pictures are company property, the property of others, or are copyrighted, you must have specific permission from the owner(s) to copy them and install them on your home computer. If these are your pictures or in the public domain, then they can be copied.

Forum policies prohibit aiding in misuse or copyright violations. However, if these transfers are legit, I am sure you will get some useful suggestions.

Yes, these are my pics. from my digital camera that I downloaded that I have taken over the past couple of years. Luckily I did, because my puter at home crashed, the motherboard went out and had to be replaced. They are of my family and my trips to Vegas. Thanks,

You say you have

"tons" of pictures to transfer. This is rather indefinite, which is why VAPCMD asked how many gigs are involved.

If it is no more than 8 - 10 gigs, you could get a 4 GB flash drive for probably about $40, and in a few trips copy them all.

Another alternative, especially if you really have a lot of pictures, is an external hard drive. This would not only let you transfer all files at one time, but would also serve as an excellent backup device for your home computer. You might consider one of the small "portable" drives (typically carried by laptop users). Such drives, in the 80 GB to 120 GB range, are generally available for under $100.

Hope this helps some,

Frank
